Originally created as a means of accessing and practicing a long sense forgotten drawing ability, the Raygos are a fantastical race likened to a cross between a dragon, gryffin and horse. They have many unique features, including double joints in their forelegs that enable them to bend forwards and backwards, wings that switch between positions ie --o-- and |o| , a stegosaurus like tail and only a single back leg that has two hip attachments and must dislocate for the animal to lay down. Their skulls are made of three pieces, a thick jaw bone and a heavy and near 3 inch thick skull bone that has twin horns protruding from it at the top, a third piece is the top jaw that is connected to the skull with cartilage but is othewise seperate. They are highly intelligent creatures and can speak though not like humans can. They walk on their claws which are hardened calcium.
As I have not yet further developed the race yet, I cannot really speak in more detail of them except to say that I plan on using them in a story.
